Owen had two soccer tournaments this month, one of which they won! He was very proud of his medal. Owen also got an award for academic excellence at school this month, which he was equally proud of (as were Mom and Dad!). When we were at the river, he helped Nanny by doing a ton of yard work for her. She offered to either pay him for it or buy him his own fishing rod. He debated and ended up choosing the fishing rod. Godfather was soooo proud! So we went off to Bass Pro Shops, or the man cave as we refer to it, and he picked out a really nice rod and has been itching to break it in ever since.

Payton began her first spring soccer season this month. She is playing for the Blue Fairies and is doing quite well. She really seems to finally be getting "it". Things are clicking for her now and she's scored several goals (both leftie and rightie!). Payton still takes ballet/tap lessons once a week and is gearing up for a recital in June. Her class just picked out costumes and are counting the days 'til they arrive.

Quinn had a week off of school after Owen & Payton went back. So we took advantage of it and went to the Discovery Cube in Santa Ana with the Morgenthaler girls to see "Bubblefest"! He had a ball and even got to have his favorite lunch...Subway! Such a deal!! Quinn also had fun at the river this month. He loves digging big holes in the sand and driving the boat. He also likes to be in charge of the net in case we catch any fish. Alas....the net remained empty this month aside from a 6" mini striper that we took pity on and set free. Better luck next trip!!
