January was all about
getting back to routine after the holidays. We all went back to school and
work, soccer practice began again, and things settled down a bit. Owen was happy to get back to school to see his friends and back to soccer, too. His team played in the Celtic Cup tournament this month and did well. Owen also got to take a Chess class at school this month. They met after school and learned how to play chess better in anticipation of the chess tournament coming up. He learned how to play last year and is constantly challenging Brandon to games. Payton was also very happy to get back to school or rather, her friends at school! Her dance class began again. In January, the focus of dance class starts to be getting ready for the recital. For her teacher, that means getting the choreography prepared and learned. For Payton, it means costumes!!! She was very excited to look through all the catalogs and pick her favorites, which was every single one! Quinn's month was pretty mellow. He went back to preschool which meant he was back to staying with Amah in the mornings. After Daddy takes the big kids to school, he drops Quinn off with Amah for an hour before preschool starts. Quinn loves this time because it means he gets to watch "George" (Curious George) and have Cheez-its. He thinks he's the king at her house and I'm not so sure he's wrong!! Enjoy! |
