April turned our house into a construction zone. We started reconstruction on the kitchen on the 14th and it continued through the end of the month. Lots of dust and debris laying around and now all we have to show for it is an empty kitchen...no cabinets, no appliances...nothing! Which means we are eating out every meal. While that sounds fun in theory, a few days into it we were all done with take out. We spent a week in Northern California visiting the Sosa's, Great-Gramma Bierce, Aunt Judy, and cousin Michelle. There's not too many pictures of that because Mommy was trying to relax!!

Owen was off-track in April so he got to watch the construction guys demolish the kitchen. He loved that.  Besides supervising the worker, Owen found time to go to some birthday parties and read tons of books. He hit the mother lode of "Magic Tree House" books when we were at the Sosa's. Mandi let him borrow 4 and he finished them all in less than a week. Awesome!

Payton was the only kid in the Pearce household attending school this month. She liked having somewhere to go, but wasn't sure she liked that everyone else was home without her. She's always afraid she's going to miss out on something fun. Payton loved visiting Ally and trying out a whole new closet of dress-up clothes. They had a ball together!

Quinn enjoyed having Owen home to play with him this month. Mommy is fun, but not nearly as fun as your big brother! Quinn also really liked the construction guys. Mom had to keep an eye on him as he was very interested in their tools. He has since taken great interest in the toy tools in the playroom. Next up for Quinn...the big TWO!!!

Enjoy!
